Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Oulpan, a modern Hebrew learning application offered by Israel Baubot.

2. Acceptance

Registering for the application implies full acceptance of these terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the service.

3. Service description

Oulpan offers courses structured by level (Aleph, Bet, Guimel), interactive exercises and adaptive quizzes, spaced repetition flashcards (SRS), a conversational AI tutor, pronunciation and reading exercises, and Hebrew conversation simulations.

4. Registration and account

Users must provide accurate information when registering. Each account is personal and must not be shared. Users are responsible for keeping their login details confidential.

5. Acceptable use

Users agree to use the service only for personal learning, not to attempt to access other users’ data, abuse the service (including spam or deliberate overload), reproduce or redistribute educational content, or bypass the application’s security measures.

6. Intellectual property

All application content (courses, exercises, interface, code and design) is protected by copyright and remains the exclusive property of the publisher. Users have a personal, non-transferable right of use.

7. AI-generated content

Some features (tutor, corrections and simulations) use artificial intelligence. This content is provided for educational purposes and may contain errors. It is not a substitute for certified instruction.

9. Oulpan Premium subscription

Oulpan Premium is offered as automatically renewing monthly, quarterly or annual subscriptions purchased through Apple’s App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. The applicable price and period are displayed before purchase confirmation. Payment is charged to the relevant store account upon confirmation, unless a free trial applies.

On iOS, eligible Apple accounts may receive a seven-day free trial once for the Oulpan Premium subscription group. Apple determines eligibility. At the end of the trial, the selected plan is automatically charged at the price and for the duration shown before purchase, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

The subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Users can manage or cancel it at any time in their Apple or Google Play account settings, depending on the device used. Refunds are subject to the relevant store’s rules. Deleting an Oulpan account does not automatically cancel the subscription.

10. Availability

We strive to make the service available around the clock. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance or updates. Continuous availability is not guaranteed.

11. Limitation of liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage related to use of the service or errors in AI-generated educational content. Users use the service at their own risk.

12. Termination

Users may delete their account at any time in the application settings. The publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete an account if these terms are violated.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be changed at any time. Users will be informed of substantial changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts in the jurisdiction of the publisher’s registered office.
